The battle against fraudulent payment flows affecting mobile network operators (MNOs) and their 5.11 billion customers will take centre stage at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2020 as the globe’s leading telecoms payment protection firm confirms its attendance.
Evina is a Paris-based scale-up that spent over a decade developing EVINA DCBprotect which today secures over six million daily transactions across 50 world markets. Evina specifically provides telcos, merchants and payment gateways with proprietary DCB (Direct Carrier Billing) technology dedicated to preventing malicious mobile apps or fraudulent ads from making payments.
“By helping secure mobile end-users, business growth for MNOs is enabled and the mobile ecosystem is able to flourish. We’re proud of our positive role in the world’s mobile sector and we’re pleased to be able to attend MWC 2020 where we can evangelise our EVINA DCBprotect solution,” says David LOTFI, Evina CEO. “The long-term sustainability of mobile monetisation is key as mobile devices truly become mobile wallets beyond 2020,” he adds.
Taking place in Barcelona from 24 to 27 February, MWC 2020 promises to be the ICT (Information and Communications Technology) industry’s conference and exhibition highlight of the year. This is the world’s largest exhibition for the mobile industry and incorporates a thought leadership conference featuring prominent executives representing global mobile operators, device manufacturers, technology providers, vendors and content owners.
Evina will be attending MWC 2020 with Business France, the government agency tasked with promoting France and its different regions as an investment destination. As a Business France partner, Evina will be strategically-located in the centre of Hall 8.1, the event’s Digital Planet Hall, booth 8.1D41. The MWC venue is, once again, Fira Gran Via, a cutting-edge exhibition facility befitting a 109 000-attendee event and located in the city’s L’Hospitalet de Llobregat area.
Fraud on mobile is growing and the many anti-fraud solutions available are, in fact, not suited to the digital monetisation trend sweeping the mobile world. These poorly-designed anti-fraud solutions block genuine monetisation conversions and slow down or complicate user paths.
Evina’s team are experts in detecting and blocking genuine fraud while ensuring a smooth payment flow. The user experience is preserved while customer complaints are reduced.
“With mobile fraud on the rise, and with Evina recently exposing Trojan malware that infected several hundred thousand mobile users in 11 African and European countries, it is essential that we are on hand at MWC 2020 to update the world’s leading mobile players on the globe’s most severe mobile monetisation threats,” explained Mr LOTFI.
Central to the Evina presence at MWC 2020 will be EVINA DCBprotect. This flagship anti-fraud solution secures the end-user payment flow on carrier billing while ensuring a seamless transaction. Installed on the payment page, it detects fraudulent behaviour and warns the relevant service provider so fraudulent transactions can be blocked before their validation.
The result is secure mobile payment traffic with reduced customer complaint rates and simplified payment processes that together boost peace of mind for all players.
Evina executives keen to engage with the MWC 2020 audience in February include CEO David LOTFI, Head of Sales Emmanuel BOTTO, Sales & Business Development Manager Grégoire MARTIN and Customer Success Chief Farid TAHA.
